Joanna Waśko
• Solicitor, member of the Warsaw Bar Association, LL.M. (University of Luxembourg);
• Specialises in commercial criminal law and fiscal criminal law;
• Gained experience working for renowned Polish and international law firms;
• Represents clients in criminal proceedings (including cases of fraud, breach of trust, money laundering, bribery, etc.) and fiscal criminal proceedings (in cases concerning, among others, CIT, VAT, PIT, RET, WHT, transfer pricing, etc.) – both as a defence counsel and as a representative of other parties or participants.
• She also supports entrepreneurs in identifying and mitigating legal and criminal risks in their day-to-day operations, as well as in implementing preventive solutions (including security opinions and procedures for limiting personal liability).
• Author of numerous publications on criminal tax law; co-author of the report ‘Instrumental initiation of criminal tax proceedings during control and tax proceedings – analysis of the practice of applying Article 70 § 6(1) of the Tax Ordinance’ (2019), prepared in cooperation with the Centre for Fiscal Studies at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
